Samuel Bowen-Wild

At age three, my uncle bought a toy drum kit for my birthday. Ever since, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed taking any opportunity to make a lot of noise, and learning about anything to do with drums. I attended a couple of samba drumming workshops as a kid and received my first full size drum kit at age eleven, then began taking lessons. I started my first band with friends in secondary school at fourteen years old. We played one show, which was so much fun that I knew I wanted to keep doing this for the rest of my life.

Sixteen years later, I’m a musician with a large range of performance, teaching, and academic experience in Music, with 8 years working professionally full time. I’ve headlined multiple, and performed at dozens of festivals all over the U.K, on stage to audiences in the thousands, and in processions to over 40,000 people. Over the years, my bands have supported the likes of; Damo Suzuki (Can), Carl Palmer (ELP), Steve White, and Chris Corsano. Alongside this, I’ve conducted over 4000 hours of one-to-one drum kit tuition and over 500 hours of student band workshops.

I also have experience hosting one-to-one and group music workshops for those in full-time care with autism. I'm passionate about bringing the opportunity to play music to people who may not regularly have access, and to generally use my skills to help and support others around me the best I can. There are unlimited reasons why it could be good for you to grab a drum and make some noise!
